  • Sleigh Rides in Breckenridge

  • Scenic Sleigh Rides
    Hot Chocolate Rides offer a unique sleigh ride experience! Your adventure begins at the Clubhouse, with a visit to our hot chocolate bar, loaded with whipped cream and other tasty treats. If you like, each adult gets one free shot of alcohol for a little extra “warmth.” Once you’re nice and toasty, we’ll head out for a 35- to 45-minute sleigh ride around the amazing Breckenridge Public Golf Course with it’s beautiful views of the Ten-Mile Range.
  • Private Rides
    Enjoy an intimate, scenic ride in our brand-new vis-a-vis sleigh, which holds up to 4 people.

 

  • Sledding in Breckenridge

Carter Park

The Carter Park sledding hill is free and located just four blocks east of Main Street and it boasts a walk-up, slide-down sledding hill that has just the right amount of steepness. The hill is wide, but it can get busy as the day goes on, so plan ahead and get there early. The park offers lovely mountain views of the Tenmile Range, bathroom facilities and picnic tables. And while there are no sled rentals available at the park, plenty of local stores sell affordable sleds.

*NEW Airport Road Sledding Hill*

The new Airport Road Sledding Hill is free and located near the free parking lot on Airport Road and along the popular Breckenridge Free Ride bus loop.  The new sledding hill is a great location with plenty of free parking, nearby restaurants to explore and a free bus into town.

  • Ice Skating

The Stephen C. West Ice Arena has two ice rinks (one indoor, one outdoor) located on Boreas Pass Road.

 

  • Snowshoeing and Nordic Skiing

Most of Breckenridge’s hiking trails (except those within the ski area boundaries) double as snowshoeing trails in the winter. Guests can also snowshoe at the two Breckenridge Nordic Centers on Peak 8 and at Gold Run.

 

  • Scenic Snow Cat Tours

Experience Breckenridge’s scenic trails from the comfort of a heated snowcat! The Breckenridge Nordic Center scenic cat tour offers guided tours through forested trails to a historic mining cabin to fill up on s’mores, hot cocoa and tales of Breckenridge’s mining families.

 

  • Fat Biking

Biking in Breckenridge doesn’t have to stop in the winter! Fat-tire biking is one of the newest winter pastimes taking over Breckenridge. If you’ve spent any time in Breckenridge over the past few winters, you may have noticed this new breed of snow enthusiasts joining you on the town trails, bike lanes and Nordic center. Bundled up like skiers and riding like mountain bikers, these trail users have found a great new way to play in the snow and get around Breckenridge during the winter. Fat bikes typically have no front or rear suspension and are equipped with 4.8” width tires.

 

  • Breckenridge Ski Resort Gold Runner Coaster

Attention thrill seekers! Breckenridge Ski Resort has unveiled the brand-new Gold Runner Alpine Coaster, located at the base of Peak 8. Race down the mountain on 2,500 feet of elevated roller coaster track as you enjoy a thrilling journey through the forest around and above the ski runs! The BreckConnect Gondola provides easy access to this new adrenaline-packed attraction, which is open in both summer and winter. Guests can ride as singles or with a friend in the two-seater cars, which give you the controls to manage your own speed through the hairpin curves and twists!   • Dog Sledding

At Good Times Adventures you will have unforgettable fun as YOU mush a team of Huskies in the Rockies!  This tour is a unique, interactive and absolutely thrilling way to experience dog sledding and the Rocky Mountains!

 

  • Snowmobiling

  • Ice Fishing

Many fishermen find Lake Dillon to be the hot spot in ice fishing. Located only 10 minutes from Breckenridge or Fly-fish all winter along the Blue River.  Fishing licenses are required and can be purchased here.
